Grilled Lemons are incredibly easy to make and are the perfect way to elevate a dish as a pretty garnish as well as a delicious way to loosen up their juices, cut their acidity and give a beautiful char flavor.

  • 2 whole lemons
  • Olive oil for dipping
  • Kosher salt or sea salt

  1. Preheat the grill to its highest temperature.
  2. Cut lemons in half crosswise for 4 halves.
  3. In a shallow dish, pour just enough olive oil to cover bottom completely, for dipping lemon’s flesh side down.
  4. Once the lemons have oil on them, sprinkle some salt on the oil so they are coated nicely.
  5. Place the lemons flesh side down on the grill so they get a nice char on them. (the lemons will release themselves from the grill when they’re ready) About 3-5min depending on the heat of the grill.
  6. Use as a garnish or squeeze over your main entrée! Enjoy!
